How to play
- Each round shows a Spanish sentence with por or para missing, and its English meaning above.
- Tap por (cause, duration, exchange, “through/by”) or para (purpose, destination, recipient, deadline).
- The blank fills in, the sentence is read aloud, and you see the rule that applies — so a wrong guess still teaches you.
- Answer six per round and aim for a perfect score.
Questions
What's the difference between por and para?
Roughly: por looks backward at a cause or means (reason, duration, exchange, “through/by”), while para looks forward to a goal (purpose, destination, recipient, deadline). This game drills the distinction one real sentence at a time.
Is this por vs para game free?
Yes — it plays in your browser with no sign-up, and explains the rule for every question. Sign in only if you want to save the sentences to your review deck.
Will it help me stop guessing?
That's the idea — by seeing por and para in lots of short, concrete sentences with the rule each time, the patterns start to feel automatic.
